Hiski Salomaa is not forgotten
By the side of the road from Vuojalahti to Luusniemi, there is a small tourist site sign pointing to Hiski's family home when he was born. There is also a monument in his honor standing in Kangasniemi Town itself.
There are still many folks in Finland who recognize the songs and tunes from Hiski Salomaa.
